Welcome to East Midlands Association of Directors of Social Services (ADASS)

East Midlands ADASS brings together Directors of Adult Social Services from across the region to collaborate, share learning, and support one another. We are a member of the national Association of Directors of Adult Social Services, connecting our regional work to the broader adult social care sector in England.

We provide a forum for collaboration, shared learning, and peer support, enabling colleagues to share experience and strengthen practice. By working collectively, we support continuous improvement in adult social care and help ensure that people across the region receive high-quality, effective support. We also work closely with those who draw on care and support, partners and stakeholders, recognising that strong relationships and a shared commitment to improvement deliver better outcomes for individuals, families, and communities.

Our vision

“Promote excellent social care across the East Midlands”

We will achieve this by:

  • Working collaboratively to improve the quality and consistency of adult social care across the region
  • Sharing good practice and learning from one another through our sector-led improvement approach
  • Supporting and constructively challenging each other to deliver the best possible outcomes
  • Focusing on what matters most to people who draw on care and support
  • Building strong, effective relationships with partners and stakeholders
  • Championing the value of adult social care and contributing to wider conversations
  • Promoting a culture of co-operation, openness, and mutual support across the region
